What they SHOULD have done is had the Fonz break through the ramp and spill into the shark circle, where then huge boiling splashes would come out of the water indicating the struggle underneath as everyone is in a panic wondering what's happening under the water, then suddenly the water goes still....then "EEEYYYY" The Fonz emerges from the water wearing a custom-fit shark-leather jacket, as he says "he messed up my hair" and whips out his comb.
The whole shark-jumping thing was just absurd.
