Wicked Rangda casts a spell on Barong to make him fall in love with her (hence the white handkerchief) but he throws off her magic.
Then Barong's followers come out to attack Rangda, but she casts a spell that makes them stab themselves. Barong, however, protects his followers so that they are not harmed.
Then the knife-men are brought out of their trance by holy water.
Stunning stuff.

Yes great. We saw the same performance this year (2010) in Februray. On the same spot I think in Ubud. We made also a registration of it.
