My brother is an invert, too.

great review, was looking at these, still deciding between the touchpad version or the ipodish menu wheel

Great informative video.
Would you say the premium one pays for panasonic is worth it? Also, do you know if other more mainstream brands such as Samsung offer the inverter technology?

My 2005 Inverter had an annoying habit of accumulating smelly water under the turntable until I fixed it with sheet metal and glue. The "Genius" feature is almost completely useless; you can't count on it unless you follow their recipes. What's needed is a "temp hold" feature to simmer leftovers without letting them boil over; the "Genius" can't do that. Most of the other "features" are total gimmicks (though the popcorn button is useful for some). Panasonic could have done better.

I have to admit I don't really use the "genius" feature . because it seems less than genius. I've never had a problem with water getting under the turntable but I would assume that would be from boiling over something in the microwave. That's a lot of boiling over. Of course I would think any bacteria that work their way into the microwave area would be nuked into next week! The one problem Panasonic has not solved is eventually the door opener goes bad have that happen on two of them

Thanx for the upload, it just so happens I was wanting to know a bit about this exact microwave. This is exactly what I needed to make a decision on which one to go with. Panasonic it is!!!!

I really like this microwave and it does exactly what you want the microwave to do ....control the amount of microwaves to not burn the edges off my food. This one still works fine and gets used by the family many times during the day.
