I brought my son and his friends along to the office while I was testing a new paddle design. It made it a lot more fun.
The spins were put in to show that these helis do have good tail control without going to double motors or direct drive systems. Heli just has to be set up right.

  • Hi ,I just recieved my superskids300 landing gear set as well a set of EZ blades...I have walkera # 4 newest version and i did'nt realize this superskids 300 is made to fit the old style DF4..are there any adaptersi need to get? I like the quality...Also will the superblades fit on my DF 4 or do i need to return them before i open them up? thanks craig H cc fla

Hi Craig - the landing gear will fit the new #4 frame. There is a flat plate on the bottom of the #4 frame. It attaches with adapters. You have to remove the plate and adapters, and then the frame is the same as the old DF 4 frame :) If you want pictures, email me through the web site.

The blades are not a direct fit. You can mount them above or below the blade grips with longer screws and nuts. In 3 weeks the new version of SuperBlades will fit your #4. Email me to return blades

  • So are they stock blades? So the only mod that making it fly almost hands free are the super paddles and not super blades? thanks

  • @3255959

Those were Dynam blades - similar to stock ones.

A well set up heli will certainly fly better and easier than one that's poorly set up. The heli was easy to control, but I never went hands free for more than a couple seconds. 2 to 5 seconds is about normal for a well set up heli with stock blades. With the EZ superblades, I've gone as long as 30 (real) seconds several times. But... the heli has to be set up very well.

Hands free shouldn't be a goal; stability should.

  • SuperPaddles are a new flybar paddle designed for indoor or low wind conditions. They're a high aspect ratio paddle offering less drag, and give a slight increase in flight times. They smooth out your cyclic response and should also make learning to fly easier for beginners. As of today (4/15/07) they're still in the engineering stage.
