  • Thank you for your excellent question. There is not enough space to do it justice, but if you look at my book "Millennial Child," (available on amazon.com) you will understand why an experience of the process, rather than just the "product," stimulates a much greater connection to the letters. That is why so much great teaching involves parables and narratives, rather than simply precepts.

  • "Through a recapitulation of the process through which humanity discovered literacy...... this is precisely the way in which children learn to read and write in Waldorf.... I don't understand how recapitulating the process would directly or indeed indirectly lead a child to learn literacy. Can you please explain?
