Looks good. Some real simple stuff could be done to pimp this thing further. Hot needle, super glue, and small gauge wire = spark plug wires. You gotta route, bend, and drape the wires so they look right. Some super glue, "piano wire", hot needle, and some spare plastic = CB antenna. You gotta fabricate the antenna base. And like you said, foil it. Time though, it's all about having time to "spend" on this stuff. It's tough being a scale model nerd.

One thing that gets me about this model is that the body is a '69 Charger 500 with flush mounted rear window. Revell puts out a 1:25 '69 R/T but the roof is textured for a vinyl roof look. The ultimate would be melding the AMT and the Revell. Essentially, you would be just be hijacking the decals from the AMT but you would have to sand the texture off the roof of the Revell R/T. It would be worth it for the improved detail. And the Revell comes with a couple engine options, 440 or 426.

Beautiful. I haven't built a model kit in many years (not counting a 1:18 Harley Davidson model that I out together), but I have some models that I built between '95 and '97, and I may start doing some videos of them pretty soon. Thanks for posting this video. It brought back memories of how to professionally put these babies together. I'll take this over Transformers any day (of which I am a fan) if I had a choice.

i got this kit and every plastic part was orange and the directions had jibberish where it was supposed to say the paint colors, i thought that was a bit odd

as low as the roll cage is you'd think Bo Duke would whack his head when jumping in at a good speed. haha

It looks cool. I had this kit at one time just didn't care much for it due to the lack of parts and detail. Plus the shows car had a 440 the model a hemi. What I would like to do is buy the 69 R/T Charger kit and slap the General Lee sticks on it.I am just a little bit picky haha. But either way Yours look real nice.

the engine was just the coler as the car i just got doing a 1:64 it was a 69 dodge hot wheels made to look the general lee down to the wheels

Not bad other than the fact no bare metal foil, air cleaner is sideway's, and rear taillight panel not being blacked out. It is a nice touch painting the chassis body color. I do that on 60% of my model's for that unique touch and i run plug wires on the engine. ice job though.

i no what you mean about the decals i got that same kit and it had no decals no push bumper no rollbar so i just toy with it you probably painted the engine gray cuz thats the color alot of engins are dun up in

Hey I am new on YouTube and I make model cars and the car looks good other than the roll cage
Dogs50ful 1 year ago
@Dogs50ful I agree with you on the roll cage. That's the stock one that came with the kit. There's alot of modelers here on Youtube. You'll fit right in.
