Sir Mike Rawlins tells Elizabeth Sukkar: "[The innovators] have to do the best science they can, with the tools at their disposal". Among other things, he points out that the GCP was created without the consultation of academia, where "20 to 25 percent of the trials are done by academic. They were never involved in GCP, and that sort of become absurd".
