Musical instruments of South India aren't well represented in the video, e.g, Mridangam, which is one of the important percussion instruments, is not shown. Moreover, the choice of Mohiniyattam dancer is bad, and so is the Kathakali make-up. Odissi was superb.

This is really sad that in a country where music was born and the land where music has kept its root rock solid, songs like "Kolavari Di" gets viral!
There are so many good musicians out there, who make real serious stuff and no one give a damn about them.
Really disappointed to see this "Apmaan" of Indian Music! :(

Makes me feel proud to be an Indian, as I look in awe at this rich tapestry of India's Classical Music & Dance forms. notice how the personalities of these artists is mirrored in the timbre of their instrument, they are truly one with their instrument be it the ecstatic effervescence of the Tabla or the charm of the viola or deep, solemn sonority of the No. at 5:05. Those were the good old days, so pure, unadulterated entertainment.
