Anchorsong with String Quartet - Breathe Breathe Me (edit)

Anchorsong is the solo project by Masaaki Yoshida from Tokyo, Japan.

He creates music with AKAI MPC2000XL and KORG Triton right in front of the audience.
Some people say, "To see that he constructs music little by little on the stage, reminds me of a painter drawing on a white canvas."
This time, he collaborated with amazing string quartet.

Finally, his 1st EP "The Storytelling EP" was released on 16th May 2007.
2 discs inside(CD & LIVE DVD), and full version of "Breathe Breathe Me" is included on DVD side.

No I'm NOT kidding! And the neg thumbs down brigade has to understand, that ALL i meant was that the word "genius" is OVER USED that's all! And it SHOULDN'T be applied to every single performer who does even something a little bit out of the ordinary. Constructing a beat in front of a live audience doesn't fall in the "genius" category in my opinion. In music, I feel it's people like Bach, Miles Davis, or Stevie Wonder - people who have actually REDEFINED the way music is.

@samsamba08 you're right the word genius is over used....by the way who's Stevie Wonder? and who are we to say Bach and Stevie Wonder (so why not Lady Gaga) are genius and Mozart and Anchorsong for exemple are not...

...and people who's using samples and laptops in live performances instead of old instruments are actually redefined the way music is...

to me, this is easier than actually constructing a beat, all he's doing is making it sound good... i can sit here all day running smples in the background while i switch up the drums, throw in strings and all that, but takibng the time by putting everything into perfection, all the finishing touches, the mixes,the effects making everything run together... he knows his sounds, and thats wh he can do it live, he looks down and sees what he KNOWS is gonna happen, just my opinion.peacee

where then exactly would you put him? because he is creating a beat live, do you see him stopping the beat because he doesnt like it? i dont know how he isnt in the genius catagory. but you are entitled to your own opinion.
