House of Large Sizes - "Lazy", "Fingernail", "They Made Me A Criminal"
Legendary Iowa band House of Large Sizes took time out during their Spring 2000 West Coast Tour to appear on TV in Seattle on 29 Live ep #149, 5/7/2000. They rocked the house the night before at the Breakroom, and rocked just as hard for this show, despite being riddled by an intermittent stage monitor cable and a fussy guitar cord.

  • Toured with these guys for a year and a half. Sold shirts and drank beer. No better music on the planet!

  • I was actually at this recording, i saw them the night before in Seattle as well. The best rock band of the 90's. & nowadays, if they still play.

  • I've always liked this band, ever since I saw a friends band (Skeleton Ed) open for them at 7th street entry. They are so unique and have so much energy!

  • I don't think I ever had as much fun playing a show with another band as I did with HOLS. RT Quinlans in Duluth...some place in Iowa...didn't matter. Always great people, and always a great band.

  • HOLS was one of my favs of all time to see live. Always had good sound. Really tight playing. No nonsense or screwing up songs. Professional rockers but fun as anything. And lots of jumping around on stage. Not an easy task.

  • Me too.

  • I remember that shirt

  • where'e the flying-v?

  • Saw them open for Frank Black and the Catholics in Boston.

    Excellent.

  • They're playing new years in cedar falls...
