Kinsey's Pedophiles I

Part I of the Secret History doc on Alfred Kinsey's "pedophile" data. It is argued by the producers that the acts concerned were violatory, although we are offered very little information concerning the data itself. We are also offered some problematic interpretations of the data by other critics, most of which are distortions of the original - available, I believe on Google Books. In this clip, Kinsey is also attacked for pretences that he never maintained - again, refuted by the original books.

Kinsey's sex research in the '40s, which could

only find widespread violations of what people thought were sexual standards,

was based mostly by studying prostitutes, homosexuals, and prison inmates. Himself

a pedophile whose research involved experimenting on children, and eager to

erase "prudery", none of this fixation on the deviant was revealed to the

public at the time, only his phony "scientific" findings.

That being said, we get to the idea of creating the study of sexuality. It WAS necessary to study sex and human sexuality. Similar to psychology, Freud was wrong about a great many things in psychology.But he did 'create' modern pysch. Kinsey brought sexuality to the forefront. And this was good.

However, by today's laws,he would be an accessory to the crime (pedophilia-related crimes). Encouragement is all it takes under the law. He also,at minimum, would get Misprision of felony.

I work with professors. I'm not adverse to studying child sexuality in a NON-CRIMINAL way. KINSEY proved nothing with his chapter on children.IT is one chapter that is completely flawed.That chapter did not follow STANDARD validity constructs! He didn't rank ordinal data and used no legitimate independent variables.His conclusion was not based on valid and reliable measurements.He primarily used one person for data.He then paraphrased a story. And then sold it as "empirical evidence."
