The ultimate Gadget Chair is a totally immersive, escapist, entertainment experience. Incorporating the latest technology, the G-Shell provides everything for the users entertainment needs. With features including in-built games consoles, computer, TV/PVR, video/music playback, heater/cooling, mood lighting and back massager, what more could you need?
Fundamental to the G-Shells design is comfort and ergonomics. A supportive leather upholstered chair forms the basis to the G-Shell experience. Housed underneath the red exterior lies a wealth of technology, including heating elements, miniature cooling fans, adjustable lumbar support (controlled via the computer GUI) and a soothing back massager.
The main function of the G-Shell is to create an immersive experience; to place you in a zone far away from the outside world. This is achieved through a number of technological features:
Entertainment - Housed underneath the chair is the technology behind the G-Shell experience. It contains all three next-gen consoles, plus a Wi-Fi Mac/PC system doubling as the chairs control centre. In addition to this are 2 HD Digital TV tuners, providing a 1TB high capacity PVR.
Visuals - An electronically adjustable 16:9 OLED screen is positioned in front of the user, hinged on the underside of the main frame. The screen acts as the interface for your entertainment experience. It is also used as your viewing platform for movies, music, gaming, and internet access. To enhance the video and gaming experience, a number of multi-coloured LED lights are situation underneath the G-Shell, projecting different tones across your surrounding environment according to screen colours. It will provide the illusion that you are truly there!
Audio - Multiple directional illuminated speakers are located either side of the user, front and back, as well as above. Combined with a large sub-woofer mounted directly below and behind the user, the audio experience of the G-Shell is second to none, transporting you directly into the middle of your entertainment experience. Virtual explosions have never felt so realistic!
Controls - Housed under a lid in the chair cushion is a trough for storing your computer and gaming controllers (keyboard/trackpad combo, Xbox & PS3 controllers and Wiimote). In addition to this, the G-Shell features an automatically retracting gaming wheel/joystick, which can also be used as a mounting point for your keyboard. Controlled via the on-screen GUI, the gaming-wheel can be activated, where it elegantly rotates up out of its hidden position (between the users legs!) into a comfortable position of their choice. The specific reach/rake of the device can be manipulated using the G-Shell control centre. The gaming wheel is suitable for both car and flight simulator experiences. In conjunction with the gaming wheel/joystick are foot pedals that are also usable by both car and flight simulators, and can be retracted if required.
Motion - One of the key unique features of the G-Shell is its ceiling-mounted motion technology. This allows for vertical and rotational movement, powered by hydraulic pistons. This motion can be enabled for activities such as enhancing the in-game experience or during movie playback. With car racing games, for example, you are suddenly thrown into the middle of the action. All the virtual bumps and crashes are reproduced through the G-Shells motion technology, converted into a dynamic reality! A left/right limited rotational motion (limited for safety reasons) also enhances your turns through the corners, as well as a forward/backward tilting ability, and can provide a
completely new experience in flight simulators! Youll never want to leave your home again!
The ultimate immersive, escapist, entertainment experience!
