Somehow, although they could vary, the Rio Grande (narrow gauge) steamers seem to have the best whistles ever.

LOL thats my favorit spot to stand on a C&TS train I rode the entire journey there one and came back in at the end of the trip compltelly black from th coal smoke LOL I rode the bus back to the hotel looking like I had fired the loco all day it took over an hour to get cleaned up for the RLHS Dinner that night but I loved the feel of it all LOL great time that trip and convention

K-36's are pure awesomeness! My favorite whistle on Cumbres and Toltec is the 487's! I wish they would have a video doing an echo. Holy smokes that would be cool!
