A friend of mine riverboards the Kicking Horse River upstream of Golden, British Columbia while the rest of us accompany him in kayaks. The level shown is about 79 on the bridge gauge in Golden (roughly 70cms). Because of the amount of wood and occasional slow spots, he normally avoids the upper section of the river in favour of the canyon.
He uses a Carlson riverboard on a quick release tether. He wears shin guards and knee pads under a 7mm thick full ice diving suit, plus a motocross helmet, PFD, and a 20L drybag. I'm not sure what make of fins he uses.
That guy is brave, KH water is sooo cold
