is this a professional band?

for me, this is not a good excuse. it is the job of the conductor to guide the group of musicians.

I'm not an acoustician. This was a great concept, and maybe with proper mike placement or something, it could have challenged Barenboim/Solti. Still, "A" for effort

Yer i agree its to fast and doesent sound the same

What a delight to hear one of my favorite pieces of music extended to include other music makers. I say Bravo to the players and also to Hallwaypro for sharing. Thanks

it was "raw" but it was simply beautiful. in tune (for the most part), rhythmic and to see young people of so many diverse backgrounds contributing to something so beautiful...it is simply breathtaking. thank you very much for uploading this.

This is... in a word... painful.

My band sightread better than this. We're playing it this year, and I have first part clarinet and the whole band sounded better than this.
i agree with newbiguy. no orchestra in the original score. i was shocked that there are two conductors. whow! there must be one conductor. an orchestra conductor can also conduct the choir too for an orchestra and choral piece.

At the time given for rehearsal and the space provided...having two conductors was unavoidable.
