So what was the point of the silicone?
-
do you have to solder them? is it not possible to just slide the covers over the pickups while they're still on the guitar? thanks
-
@SuperGameSpot No, they should just pop over.
-
@rancidhotmail You can add it without using solder or silicone, as long as it fits tight enough it don't matter. Its cosmetic anyway, so if you don't like it, take it off!

Just curious, but will these covers work on a Gibson Dirty Fingers Humbucker? and Will it change the sound dramtically or not?

Rail type pickups? You mean blade style? Only PAF spaced pickups will work with our covers.

If you don't work on your guitar much then I'd say take it to a pro. Covers are specific to each pickup or style of pickup, but you have to be sure to get the right spacing.
