Oh yeah. It is very jerky. Without image stabilization, a tripod or a nicely weighted steadicam is definitely a necessity.

the mino still seems a little jerky when in motion, do you find this true?

That one was a Flip Mino HD on a 5" tripod. I set the tripod on top of the fuel tank and used a grip of gaffer's tape wrapped around the camera and tripod, sticking it to the tank.
