It actually is blasphemy.

Hmmmm... so to follow your argument to its logical conclusion, the only people who can feel totally safe from committing this "horrific sin" of blasphemy and going to hell for it are atheists. Just another great reason to be an atheist, I'd say.

all you theists, whether you worship jesus, allah, vishnu, thor, or santaclause... you're all suffering from childhood indoctrination. obviously you will reject this common sense rationality, but for whatever it's worth... you're all suffering from mental delusions. as far as well over 99% of all people who have ever followed any deity/religion they just so happen to follow exactly the same deity/religion that their parents taught them to. what's that ? COINCIDENCE ?

the onus of proof is on the theists. nevertheless it shouldn't be assumed that there's no crushingly powerfull anecdotal evidence, in that science has shone the light of rationality in to every single hiding place they have housed god in, so that, eg. most theists [as did pope john paul II] now finaly accept they've been wrong about evolution for 150 years. all they have left [for now] are gaps like the nano-second before the big bang and the tinyest spaces within atoms.

id love it if it was a joke, but taking a look at everyone's videos, they take it quite seriously
Hold on a second, Brittany - according to Revelations 21:18, the people who go on record to deny the holy spirit in this "blasphemy challenge" of theirs HAVE committed blasphemy.
Read the verse to yourself out loud: "But the fearful, and UNBELIEVING, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death." -Revelation 21:8
Yes, UNBELIEVING...

of course the unbelievers will go to hell, as that verse clearly points out. im not arguing that. its just they can't committ blasphemy. but there are a ton of other things they can do like merely not believing that will earn them a secure spot in hell.

brittany, as theists [and especially christians] like you, keep squirming in order to explain that your religious texts don't realy say and mean what they not only very clearly say and mean, but also what the church for centuries has been teaching... you simply contort your arguments into an ever more hair-splitting game of double-speak twister. what's it going to be next ? if you say you're an atheist, it realy means you secretly believe in god but don't know it yet, right ?

first, i was not trying to explain anything that the Bible doesnt really say...the Bible cleary says what I just bothered to point out. you so cleverly make it seem like Christians are uneasily defending a faith that is dead or untrue, but that is so far off. some people may be doing that, but id say thats only because they're not sure or are confident in what they believe.

second, ur ending hypothetical statement is so far-fetched that it pretty much devalued anything that you previously said. of course that's not going to happen, that would be entirely contradictory to what we as Christians know as truth...saying an atheist has a hidden belief? If one is an atheist, they dont believe at all. hands down. now SOME may end up finding faith in God just as some "Christians" end up atheists.
