In 2001 the US had another attack..with the use of anthrax 22 people infected and 5 Americans died.

Bush did not keep us safe and its still unknown how the Ames form of anthrax, developed in the US, was used to kill Americans.

Bush was the worst president the US has ever had and he sounds like an alcoholic.

Lauer did a good job interviewing him. Of course Lauer was right. The US historically with its gov't has always opposed torture. Bush tried to make torture legal within the US laws.

Why do people always throw idiotic insults in there. The bottom line is that in some cases using these methods of extraction were successful. What people don't seem to understand is there is NO TIME to mess around. If they are interrogating a person that they know has information, they need to do whatever they have to in order to get the information. They can't be dilly dallying around, jumping through hoops, making numerous phone calls to various agencies, etc. There isn't time for that.

How do they "know" who has information. The fact is that innocent people were tortured and some of these innocent people died.

People were turned over to troops for money or someone got rid of someone they didn't like by turning them in to American troops.

And many policy mistakes were made by the US based upon information gotten through torture. People will say whatever you want them to say to stop torture.

The use of torture was a failure and humiliated America.

At 2:12 minute mark, Bush talks about a speech that he had given when he released some of the memos - does anyone know what speech this was? when it was made?

I'm doing a thesis on the speeches made regarding the "techniques"

Wish the media would have awakened early enough to take this fraud on.
