Shanghai Holiday, Chinese New Year, February 2009.

Shanghai during the Lunar New Year Celebration. We had four days off, so we flew there to see what it was all about.

1. High Speed train ride from the airport to the city. We met some Canadians on board, they were pretty cool.
2. LED displays on skyscraper.
3. Caught a gig at Yu Yin Tang, a live venue in Shanghai. The band playing that night was pretty good. I met some really cool French people who took me out and showed me Shanghai.
4. Next morning on the street
5. Skyscrapers, city park, trees, skyline
6. Nighttime fireworks display. They launch these off right in between apartment buildings. I really wanted to get off the balcony and go out in the city.
7. Man lighting fireworks right in the street
8. Taxi ride on freeway, Downtown Shanghai driveby.
9. Fireworks on the river. I walked up to some foreigners because they were all drunk and lighting off fireworks. They started laughing at me for randomly filming their fireworks display. You can listen closely, one sounds like he is from Australia or New Zealand, I don't know, they were being kind of pricks.
