http://www.waterfilters.net/Pentek-US-1500-Under-Sink-Water-Filter.html Aquaman changes the cartridges in his US-1500 under sink filter system. The US-1500 is similar to a number of drinking water filter systems including the US-1000, SY-2650, and many others. This cartridges changing procedure is common to many under sink water filter systems and will provide useful information to many water filter system owners regardless of model. Aquaman will discuss preparation, cartridge orientation, correct order, O-ring lubrication and general maintenance. Aquaman is a Water Quality Association Certified Water Specialist. His training and experience have given him a deep understanding of water chemistry and water purification equipment. This enables him to provide scientifically accurate information that you can trust!

  • is this for most of the water filters?

  • @FELIX0123 Not entirely certain what you are asking, but this type of system is very common. There are many many systems similar to this one, and the process will be nearly identical.

  • Aquaman.. is there a system that can remove Floride from my municipal water system? There has been alot of contraversy on foridated water lately. Thanks.. great vids.. please keep them coming.

  • Yes, a reverse osmosis filtration system will greatly reduce fluoride levels. Find out more at our blog.

  • Thank you very much aquaman! I thought I was gonna have to call someone to come and do this for me but it's simple and easy to replace them cartridges, very informative too.

  • @misterheath The reason I made an issue out of the filter order is that GAC (granular activated carbon) filters) tend to shed carbon fines into the water, more so than carbon blocks. So, by placing the GAC before the carbon block, the fines that are released will be captured by the carbon block. It's a minor thing, with the primary advantage being a decrease in the amount of purging of the new filters, due to less carbon fines being released.

  • Thanks a ton! Great video.

  • thanks a lot you sure helped me out
