WOW!! I was lucky to see Ms Welting several times..but not in FILLE. This is sensational. She is sorely missed. Perhaps someone could send this clip to Ms. Dessay or Damrau......

Yeah, everyone needs some fireworks to celebrate new years.... and you have to give Ruth credit, she was always creative in her approach to "her" roles... who else would bring a trumpet player on stage and sing this sort of duet in Fille!!!??? I heard she did a similar thing with a flute on stage in an early NYCO barber when she sang Proch's Variations in the lesson scene :)
