I talk about HVAC schools. I went to Lee High Tech in Fort Myers, Florida. Mr Wahl was the instructor.

  • Hello DrZ, does the intituto accept international students?

  • @cesar1972 You really need to call the school and ask them if they have an international student program.

  • My freand in NYC who own's his own HVAC company and knows me well and saw what I built will be taking me as a helper next year and I know I will learn a lot from him. I will get paid too

  • @67tr876 I'm happy for you. It sounds like an incredible opportunity.

  • I'm going to school for HVAC, at my school I'm going to end up paying $30,000.It's a 2 year program with an associates degree in political science. At this school we have to take general classes also. Do you think this school is doing a good thing by adding general studies to the HVAC program? or should HVAC be more just about HVAC?

  • @SombraLocs I'm not going to judge the curriculum at any school. I will tell you this: I have a bachelor degree in Sociology and Anthropology. Not a single class prepared me to work in the HVAC field. I much later in life went to a technical school to learn HVAC.

  • @rbu2m You are very lucky to find an employer like that. Just curious, how much did your pay go to as a HVAC Tech with 4 years of experience ?

  • I went through my HVAC/R Training through the United States Air Force at Sheppard AFB TX. this Air Force technical school program was 99days of intense training and studying the program was equal to a 2year program in the civilian sector. I'm a Journeyman now since i been in the Air Force for HVAC/R i'm up for Ssgt and i'll be a craftsman in the HVAC/R field

  • I go to a local union that has HVAC along with plumbing and pipe fitting, We get 4 years of school that is paid for and along with 40 hour a week on the job experience. Only thing that we pay for is books, and union dues. It is very worth it and I love this field. Kissimmee, FL look up local 803 for any other information.
