In November of 2005 students from over 200 schools nationwide walked out of classes to protest the Iraq War and military recruiters in schools. In the Seattle area, over 1000 students walked out. The footage for this video was shot entirely by youth participating in the event. It was inspiring to edit together what they saw.
This video is a PepperSpray Production. PepperSpray is an all-volunteer activist video collective, the video arm of the Seattle Independent Media Center. We put together a weekly TV show that airs on 15 stations nationwide. Check out our website www.peppersprayproductions.org and our TV show at www.youtube.com/indymediapresents
Probably I would love to live in Seatle

Weak. I was at UW that year. Less than 1% of students walked out. Most of that 1% were from the Art/Drama/English departments. The rest of us have grades and actual studies to be concerned with.

Have we forgotten that our military is currently comprised of volunteers. Also, recruiters are service members and most have been overseas. "Support our Troops but don't support recruiters (service members) and those who volunteer to do what most aren't even qualified to do? Hmmmm.... think about that one for a second.
