Artist: Clyde McCoy

Song: Sugar Blues

Year: 1946

Label: Vogue R707

Format: 10" 78RPM

Notes: This is the first Vogue Picture Disc released. Amazing trumpet work on this song!

As yet, This isnt my record. I borrowed three of them from a friend to help research them a bit. If the price is right, Id love to have them. But Most people think they are worth a fortune, When generally speaking that isnt the case. We shall see.

  • @listingboat Usually, about 25 bucks or so. Right now, Only about $10. Its the most common of all the vogue discs, its the first one....so many many people bought it when it came out as noone had really seen anything like this.

  • Funny, I got a turntable for Christmas and went and played this as the first thing. I've had this for over 30 years and have no idea what it's worth. Any clues?

  • According to voguepicturerecords d o t org, The individual records sold for about a dollar, and the albums sold for a little less than three dollars

  • In your research on these records, have you come across any information as to how much these cost when bought originally? Just curious, I am guessing they had to cost a bit more than a regular black record.
