  • A great and underrated singer, especially compared to the dreck we have to listen to today

  • Young tenors should listen to it: this is the real and healthy italian singing school. Very good.

  • @vladupeThat's very interesting,However,my guess would have been Lauri Volpi,if based on resonance only,SinceVolpi's resonance seemed to reach further than any other tenor voice in history.I would have guessed that it would have been a voice with a verbratto, because, for the most part, they run or( correno) futher than most other voices.Pertile was definitely a beautiful singer, but he did not have a beautiful quality of voice. It does take more than just resonance to declare the best tenor.Enjoy

  • @sugarbist Little known fact is that the in former soviet union for a long period of time the scientist 's were using technical devices to resolve the mistery of bel canto. The highiest resonant tenor voice is the one of Pertile and the test's showed that vocal cords are performing without tension during his singing,as for bass Pivovarov ,for him even more interesting they took out his laringe after his death and studied it.

  • Peerce always seems to be very elegant. He never seems to overdo anything.I thought he was a pretty inteligent singer

  • @vladupe How so? I like Pertile, but I never heard the scientifically proven thing

  • That ringing, spinning timbre and the diction are intoxicating.

  • Jan Peerce was the most honest tenor who ever sang. He always sang the music as it was written, usually with perfect pronunciation and diction. An incredible artist and one of my favorites in so many roles. Bob

  • It is scientifically proven, that Pertile is the best tenor.

  • Mr.Peerce is my favorite tenor, ever. I can listen to him all day.Thank you for this video.

  • @vpo2g2 you're tlking about the end [or near the end] of the golden age of singing -- So many great ones from the first half of the 20th century!

  • Every1 favored his brother in law. But here, U can C that he's just better:) His brother in law over did it trying 2 sound like Caruso & more dramatic! Too much sobbing too!
