@jgsmitty14 While the Corvette may be much cheaper, price wise, than other cars, you have to remember. BMW and Mercedes are refined European cars, Europe is a different continent. America's roots are the rough, screaming metal death traps of muscle cars (which isn't a bad thing!). Europeans, and me as a personal preference, enjoy the refined qualities, you don't buy a Corvette to daily drive and pick your kid up from school.

Both are awesome cars, but it should come as no surprise that the one with more displacement and less weight (also no back seat) would be better for all out acceleration (from a dig or roll ons)

This coming from a person who has owned 2 M3's and driven several Corvettes, the C5 Z06 is one of my favorite cars I have ever driven, period. (the interiors are shit compared to the M3, but that's not the point of the 'Vette. They aren't luxury cars, they are made for speed, nothing else)

@meadowz06 This comment is pretty ignorant, I see the M3 on plenty of top 10 sports car lists, but no Corvette? Saying the M3 isn't an icon is like saying Star Wars wasn't that great of a movie series. I'm American, I've owned a Corvette, their great cars, a little cheaply made, but incredibly fast, I actually just sold my Corvette 6 months ago. The M3 is also a very iconic sports car, especially the original E30. Both cars are great, and bashing each other over which ones best is stupid.
