This is the recently released RealAir Beech Duke Turbine on a short flight from Valdez (PAVD) to Seward (PAWD), fitted with RXP 530/430 combo. Fantastic aircraft, with astonishing performance - easily managing a 4000fpm climb out at 140kts .....

This is my first attempt at a in-flight video so next time I will be concentrating more on the checklist & flying than the filming !! (Yes the approach was way too low !!!)

Hope you enjoy.

  • Is there a difference between the duke and the turbine duke?

  • @CrIp1391 There are 2 versions available, the regular piston version and the turbine version - the turbine has a heck of a lot more power .. .. .. Enough to get you in the air from 1000ft of runway and climb at 4000 ft/min !!

  • Hi Again,

I am still new to this Duke release, how can I use "RealityXP 530&430 Combo " as you suggested please?

    Thank you,

  • @arn0ub04

If you don't already own them you need to get the 530 & 430 from Reality XP (they are not cheap), then go into the Duke config application and choose Panel Options - then select the layout that you want.. ..

  • Hi There,

Couple of questions pls... This doesn't seem to be the Garmin 500 GPS, correct? So how can one enter multi-waypoint into the GPS as you have been doing?

Do you have another video or do you know of one taht explains the above procedure for a multi waypoint entering in to the Garmin GPS?

    Thanks, great video.

  • @arn0ub04

No it isn't the default GPS, in this I am using the RealityXP 530&430 Combo which acts like the real thing, rather than the default which can only get a multi-waypoint plan from the FSX flight planner. The Duke gives you the option to use the default or various RXP options.. ..

  • Nice movie =)

Why do you got under the glide path?

  • Gear up way too early...you have to wait for confirmation of positive rate

  • @ryanmlt1 I would, but I gave the money to RXP instead! Really put off by having to use the interface in windowed mode.
