The dissident camapign is evil & doomed to failure, but no more so than the past campaign by the Provos. For yrs the provos promised to 'bomb the brits out of ireland' and refused to recognise Northern Ireland as a country. Now in 2011 the IRA are gone and SF sit on the British payroll as part the status-quo in a Northern Ireland government. So while the dissidents are doomed to failure just like the provos the question we have to ask is - Who really has age-old republican logic on their side?

It's purposefully misleading to say the IRA killed more Catholics. As a percentage of IRA victims, its 20%. Compare to 86% of the victims of the "neutral" British Army and 79% of the RUC's victims. But most telling is the Terror Quotient, that is, the percentage of civilians killed by each party. IRA: 34%, British Army/RUC: 50% and the Loyalist Death Squads: 90%. The stats pretty squarely tell you who the terrorists were/are.
