24 Hours On The Oregon Coast

A video I made of an overnight trip we took to the Coast set to "Clarity" by John Mayer.

The transition that begins at 2:35 is not doctored. I just pointed the camera North and panned around to the left until I was facing South.

I woke up in the middle of the night and the moon was orange. Later, it turned blood red. It was difficult to get any good shots of it at that point but if you look closely around 3:26, you'll see it.

The park is a little place in Tillamook County, Oregon called Manhattan Beach. http://oregonstateparks.org/park_193.php

A new rule at the park allows visitors to spend one night provided they sleep in their vehicle. We kinda' followed the rule.

Isn't this the most amazing place to take kids on vacation? We were married at Hug Point, working on yearly vacations to Rockaway Beach and anywhere else the spirit takes us.

Sadly we are in Iowa now, but we will relocate to Oregon when life allows.

To be honest, we've lived other places but we've always come back to Oregon. I don't know many people who don't come back to Oregon after they've moved elsewhere. There's just something about this place.

i'm from saudi arabia and i was completely amazed by californai coast ,, but last fall i made a trip from eugene up to seattle on oregon coast it is a part of the heaven..

moreover, a friend of mine who spends his vacations in europe ,, he said oregon coast is the best place i've ever seen ....

ya i was born in tillamook... didnt mind it until we moved to the dalles when i was 6. and it was hot in the summer and snowy in the winter. that is what i like... i just cant get used to the rain again and we have lived here since i was 14.

Really? I'm just the opposite. I love the rain. But I have to admit, it does get a little old by June.
