This is a wonderful story of hard work and determination.
My family came to this country in the 19th century for the same reasons and faced the same type of obstacles. They were made the scapegoat of social problems of the time. They were ridiculed for not speaking english and being different. Not much has changed, immigrants are still the scapegoats and perfect targets for ignorant fools.
