It may seem like a simple concept, but it is one that took Einstien years to figure out.

I understand the concept but what I can't seem to grasp is why time dilates relative to speed. Why does this biologically effect the twin traveling?

Actually, this has NOT answered the question dprjones asked. It's just re-stated the phenomenon with a different example and given a specific observation of it.
You've not understood the question. Look up the concept of inertial frames of reference and re-watch the video.
