Oh Happy Day

I thought I wouldn't record this number ever as a piano solo tune...however, otherwise has happened.

I have always been fond of this tune until it became extremely hackneyed; so I've tried to give it a different approach in which I've not come across, which is the more funky, gospel kind of James Booker stride style....or New Orleans-esque, Southern style definitely.

The Edwin Hawkins Singers, in my opinion are "where it's at"- they're the ones who brought "Oh Happy Day" into popularity in 1967....(as a gospel styled standard)

Hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed improvising.
