Formed in the late-60s in the UK by 3 sons of U.S. Air Force officers, America (DEWEY BUNNELL, DAN PEEK, and GERRY BECKLEY) crafted a soft folk-rock styling in the same vein as CROSBY, STILLS and NASH, JAMES TAYLOR, and NEIL YOUNG. After their self-titled debut album was released in 1972, the band won the Grammy® Award for Best New Artist.

  • I like sauce..

    and this song

  • I do understand that youtube needs ads in order to stay online and provide your favorite music -wich you should, too-. What pisses me off on the other side, is the massive changes on the homepage and channels, and the fact that we don't have any choice regarding it. It causes a lot of problems, and it is annoying. Whorse: there was an extension for chrome to fix it and get the old (not THAT old but still better than it is right now) youtube, but they managed to make it useless...

  • Seriously, the top comment on here is one of those stupid, generic "old Youtube" chain letter comments? Come on people let's talk about the music, and be glad that we can listen to it anywhere at all. I'm not worried if the subscribe button is yellow or white...

  • @Stevennus Remember when Youtube didn't exist and we actually had music on MTV? Yeah....

  • Born too late! Love it still.

  • Under the city there lies a heart made of ground because the humans will show no love? whats that mean?

  • I was in college when this came out. Couldn't hear it enough. Still love it.

  • I wish I could record this well. But I can't.

When America recorded this song they were listening to Neil Young and they felt the same.

  • @Stevennus you need to learn to accept change
