  • Forget the old battles. Eh no..I don't think so. History is what makes us what we are.

  • @mwillis1000 here here ! It's about time you claimed back your national identity !

  • @MrBigdrew55

Im glad to be English and Irish!

  • @glasgow1234

    Free England.

  • I love this song, think it's much more positive and foward looking than Flower of Scotland. It would be a great anthem. Having said that I can't quite imagine it being sung at Hampden in the same way.

  • not one of alex`s better ideas. a great man ,but no no no to this as scotlands national anthem.

  • at 0.25 wi the big hat on the right is oor first meenister!beats david cameron ony day!

  • This is a good song for our national anthem. A Man's A Man For All That is even better. Internationalism should be at the heart of everything Scotland does as an independent country, but perhaps before we are independent anything other than a rebel song would be false and hollow. Obviously not Flower Of Scotland, Williamson's worst song, but Scots Wha Hae or Alisdair Macdonald's Patriot Heart would serve in the interim period of transition to a modern independent state.

  • @woodsghyllman Music to 'march' to should be the last thing we're looking at in an anthem! Keep it away from militarism altogether.

It's an irrelevent suggestion anyway, Can English athlete's march into the arena to 'God Save the Queen'? Or The USA, to 'the Star Spangled Banner'?

I think not! As a musician, 'Scotland Will Flourish' does it for me.
