It's a situation most pilots avoid talking about. However needs to be discussed. In the event of an engine failure where would you land given only these circumstances?

  • prefer airport lol is there one close by? Id start there. next choice -road.3rd any open visible space,IE field parking lot, water close to shore.Shallow.Last trees. No on the tail first stall tree landing.Id take the wings off between 2 if possible. To hopefully slow the impact to a possible survivable accident.

  • This "informative" video is a non-answer to the question posed. A simple "I don't know" would have been sufficient if the desire to make a video just to hear oneelf speak was too great to resist.

  • Road. safest representation of a airstrip despite the hazards of power lines, signs, fences, cars ect. Also there is a greater chance of civilization for assistance.

  • in the road all the way... i think i have better chances and if a car was to crash on the airplane a medical assistance is available sooner...
