唱首情歌给谁听 For whom do I sing this love song? - 李逸 Lee Yee

Lee Yee was a household name in the early seventies. This is the song that made him famous. He was in Life Records together with Teresa Teng and together as a team they toured Malaysia towns. His rise to fame was meteoric because of his good looks and emotional masculine voice. Things were looking really good for him for he was winning over a lot of Singaporean fans which was quite a feat even in those days. Everyone was looking to Hong Kong and Taiwan for Chinese songs and local singers were considered inferior. Unfortunately, he was killed in an accident. Many mature Malaysians today still remember him. He left behind a wife (also a Life Records singer) and a daugher.

Thank you! It's good to hear from you again.

From the time I was small, I used to listen to the Musical 长恨歌 everyday, played by my neighbours on their record players. Sometimes, we would borrow the record and play it in our house. I have it on CD now.

i;m english educated but I love this singer voice.......................re­minds me of my teenage years,,,,,he was so famous in Malaysia and,,then spreading to,, Singapore.! All of sudden he met an accident !!! He could compete with the best from Taiwan and HK at that time................

it is a very good song, n in the 70's, he was everyone idol, whether young or old, men or women, his death was really a lost to the music industry n he passed away when he was at his top career
