Dear Mr./Miss Stripper,Worthless..to you, maybe. "They certainly had knoweledge of God, yet they did not glorify Him as God or give him thanks. They stultified themselves through speculating to no purpose, and their senseless hearts were darkened.they claimed to be wise but turned into fools instead". No proof? What about the shroud of Turin? Tell me, how did a perfect photographic negative (that appears positive) show up on a cloth that was "dated" to 450 years before photography was invented?.

@bheadh What you're trying to do here is cute but a worthless attempt at proving your side of the case. I am not greedy nor have I been filled with depravity. I am not filled with murder or envy or deceit. And nor do I deserve death because I do not believe.
I do not believe because there is no evidence; not because of the list of name calling given in the posted verses. Look outside of the Bible for proof of God's existence and you'll be saddened to know there is none.

@miskbalder - Skeptic is good enough for me.

Romans, chapter 1, vs 18-32.

@ZarathustrasCrown Im an agnostic, i certainly dont believe there is a god but i cant say for sure there isnt a god.. no im not atheist
-
@miskbalder No, what I'm saying is that a split that hadn't been noticed before between differing branches of atheism has led to new terms, implicit and explicit...both equally atheist, just in a different manner. It's really simple actually, if someone is asked "do you believe in a deity" and answers "no" then they are an atheist, no matter what other philosophical views they may have. If they answer "I don't know" then they are agnostic...implicit atheists would definitively answer "no".
-
@ZarathustrasCrown what you are saying is agnosticism isnt going anywhere, call it agnosticism or make up a new word for it and call it "implicit atheist"
-
@miskbalder If you think there "might" be a god then absolutely...an implicit atheist does not...they believe just as any atheist that there is no God...none say "I don't know", they're as certain as anyone there's no God, they simply reached that conclusion without consciously rejecting the idea. *shrug* call it what you like but implicit atheism is a fundamental part of philosophical discourse now, there are millions of them. New, or old...implicit atheism is here, and it isn't going anywhere
-
@ZarathustrasCrown which by any definition makes an implicit atheist an agnostic.. i am an agnostic: there might be a god, there might not, but until proven wrong i will believe there is no god.. im leaving the possibility open for the existence of god.. an atheist or a theist doesnt do that even if a nutcase in the 70ies who didnt understand the concept of agnosticism wanted to be called an atheist even though he knew he was an agnostic, so he made up some new stuff
-
@miskbalder Which is precisely what implicit atheists believe...until there's viable, peer-reviewed proof, there is no such thing as God...that's what "complete lack of belief" would, by definition, be. The implicit atheist, at no time, suggests there is ANY chance there is a deity...it's not only not a suggestion, to an implicit atheist the existence is a complete and utter non-issue...he treats any deity like we'd treat Cthulhu...a figment of imagination.
Seriously! The British are so much smarter than us Americans. I guess that is because they under stand freedom of thought. Land of the free? Hardly.

You do realize in Britian you have to pay taxes to the Anglican church, right? You do realize that they "quietly" tried to install elements of Sharia law in certain districts, as well? I'm not attempting to undercut the British here, but there's a reason why people like Christopher Hitchens came to America. As far as law goes, America is very much one of the most secular and tolerant sovereignties. You can insult the people, but try not to undersell the First Amendment and the Virginia statute.
