Catch Me When I Fall Chapter 21

Shiloh kept a safe distance from the figures and followed them silently into the basement, opening the door carefully so as not to let in too much light. She watched them like a hawk. They tried to make their way to the stairs in the complete darkness...

*inside*

Kevin, still pretty angry, went up to the master bedroom and slammed to door shut. As he turned around, he saw a girl dressed all in black with a few visible weapons.

Kevin: STAY BACK! I'M CALLING THE POLICE!!!

Beth: No need. I am the police.

Kevin: WHAT?!? Ok, so breaking and entering is alright as long as a cop is doing it? Is that what I'm supposed to believe now???

Beth: No. Now I must swear you to secrecy if I'm going to tell you who I am and what I do and why Shiloh told you to stay in the house.

Kevin: *worried about Shiloh* Wait, how do you know Shiloh?

Beth: I need you to promise me that the information I'm about to tell you will be kept secret. Sign this.

Beth handed Kevin a contract. He read it over and signed it, too worried about Shiloh to care about what he was looking at.

Beth: Good. I'm special agent Beth Itrich. Shiloh is a part of the C.I.A., or at least she was...

Kevin: She was? What, she's not now? IS SHE IN DANGER???

Beth: SHH! Keep your voice down!!! No, she's fine. She is still a C.I.A. operative for now, but once she finishes this mission, she will retire from the agency. She is in the basement as we speak, tracking 3 shadowy figures who went in through the cellar doors. Shiloh is one of our top agents, and it will be sad to see her go, but she wanted a normal life. Her main reason was because she didn't want to lie to you anymore. Anyway, I was sent here by the agency to tell you that. Again, should you reveal her or my identities, you will be executed.

Kevin: WHAT???

Beth: SHH!!! Didn't you read the contract before you read it???

Kevin: NO! I was too worried about Shiloh!!!

Beth: Well, just keep your mouth shut and you'll be fine. I must go. *begins to climb back out the window*

Kevin: WAIT! Aren't you going to help her???

Beth: *shakes head and says at the same time* Uh-uh. This is her last mission. She desereves to go out with a bang. *slips out the window*

Kevin: *running to the window* WAIT!!! *looks out the window and sees no trace of Beth* What the...*CRASH* Oh, no...*races downstairs*


WHAT HAPPENED??? WILL KEVIN BE ABLE TO KEEP HIS MOUTH SHUT??? WAS BETH SERIOUS ABOUT EXECUTING KEVIN IF HE TOLD ANYONE??? WHERE IS SHILOH NOW??? WHERE DID BETH DISAPPEAR TO??? FIND OUT NEXT TIME ON CATCH ME WHEN I FALL!!!

PS I know this chapter wasn't as good, but I have school and I literally have to be there in about 15 minutes or so, so I'm writing this really quickly since it was supposed to be up yesterday. Ily guys! Next weeks will *HOPEFULLY* be better!
