Ing Shou Kun as far as I know in Mandarin is a literal beautiful term of one single stick, Ing means brave, heroic, shou means small, here it probably means one single straight simple, no frills. Gun means stick. I hope I am right
Ummm. Kendo is a Japanese martial sport of fencing, and their "sticks" are called Shinai which are bamboo strips bound together. This is a staff form.
jeez wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of the pole with him even if its a 49 and a half foot one

Now.Yin is like in Yin/Yang.
It means Yin hand staff, opposed to Yang hand staff where both hands show in the same direction, while holding the staff.
