The bloke in the shot is pissed up hence losing balance, he's written various articles on music / record sleeve notes and books on 60's Mod music and British culture,he also was a CCI DJ in the late 80', he's an excellent dancer and an all round top bloke - not that this footage does him any justice. Northern Soul emerged from the British Mod scene, the term was originally penned by the late Roger Eagle the 60's DJ from the twisted wheel club.

There's some pretty offensive comments in here some of which are put on here by people that have very little knowledge or idea of what they're talking about! The music being Danced to is Rhythm and Blues and not Rock n Roll - for info RnRs origins came from Rhythm and Blues,Jazz and Gospel to name a few.
