Thats why I chose it. I know nothing about engines and understand these are bad ones. So I immediately picked the 20B to deter me from flying this thing.

Spitfire is a kit. 20B came from ebay and I overhauled it. Aviation products are from Rotary Aviation. (engine monitor, engine controller and redrive)

This aircraft isn't a full scale replica (i think ~2/3) and uncomparable lighter...

The Merlin as never 2-4000hp but 790hp for the merlin A in 1934, later on the Spitfire I: 1048hp and up to 1720HP on the spit IX.The more powerfull spitfires not use a Merlin but a Griffon engine ...

FYI. There is a guy in the UK who has made a 20B-MSP & its currently installed in a drift racer. FWIW if you intend going turbo, the 20B-REW is a better option over the MSP design.

So I understand there is no Renesis version of the 20B yet? What HP range are you getting out of this engine and what's the GPH? Also, again, what prop will you use with this engine?

Thanks for sharing this. The 20B is a interesting engine and has lots of potential as a aircraft engine. Which prop are you using? How is the project coming along I see this is from over a year ago now?
