Storm Shadow is an air-launched cruise missile, manufactured by MBDA and used by France, Italy, the United Kingdom and Greece. Storm Shadow is the British name for the weapon; in French service it is called SCALP EG (Emploi Général, meaning General Purpose). The missile is based on the earlier MBDA Apache anti-runway missile, and differs in that it carries a warhead, rather than submunitions.

  • @wfoj21 There is a version with a range of 1000 km and can be lauched from a submarine. Theres also a anti runway version and the standard with 350 km range.

  • Euro- Tomahawk. Actually closer to a AGM-158 JASSM (Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile) As the Tomahawk (TLAM to some) has a much greater range, is is not integrated / capable from any fighter / attack size aircraft, only carried by the Bomber forces.

  • @djhuso used tonight haha!!

  • @TheARMAProductions probably no warhead at all, just kinetic energy. that looked more like fuel burn-off to me, just my opinion :)

  • @djhuso Good cause apparently the European forces in Libya are already running out of munitions. They have few bombs left to drop.

  • @7Kronos I also think there working with a smaller warhead. Like training rounds there much cheaper because; the electronics arent the same electronic systems used on training rounds are easy to jamm and lower quality, the range isn't the same mostly 1/3 or 1/5 of the original range and the warhead some training rounds just use smoke as warhead but some are using a small amount of explosives to indicate a realistic effect. ;-)

  • 0:36 warhead are empty of course... I presume it's a precision test
