  • hi greg great to see morecambe rail station had many thoughts when i felt down cheers

  • @jamesmckerrell63 Thanks for watching and the comment

  • Hi Greg, amazing post. What a beautiful building, such a shame the railway is just an afterthought now.

  • @xxxchrist1 It is a shame the building is no longer used by the railways but it is a great building

  • Hi Greg, was this after February 1994, when the last train left, it really was a terrible mistake, leaving two lines and a level crossing would have been a better idea, still room for market and Morrisons, bet the council were bribed, allegedly! great to see what it was like. cheers.

  • @noelist Hi Leon do not now what year this was but trains were still running from the platforms a bit after this clip

  • @gregorysimonanderson hi greg thanx for your responce i lived and worked in morecambe in 86 and sad to see frontierland gone but not forgotten along with the rail station,,,,,and everywhere else

  • @D7579 Thanks for the comment glad you like the clip

  • Absolutely brilliant. This reminds me of holidays spent with my Aunt and Uncle in the mid 1970s. My Uncle worked in the telephone exchange overlooking the line. A North West railrover meant an early start to get to Lancaster on the Skipton DMU up the WCML, perhaps the Cumbrian Coast to Carlisle and down the S&C and home, with plenty to see every day.

Even Steamtown was worth a look. How things have changed, and not for the better.

    Thanks for posting this video.

  • @mesembe I think they would lose the petrol station and a bit of the car park
