@gregorysimonanderson hi greg thanx for your responce i lived and worked in morecambe in 86 and sad to see frontierland gone but not forgotten along with the rail station,,,,,and everywhere else

Absolutely brilliant. This reminds me of holidays spent with my Aunt and Uncle in the mid 1970s. My Uncle worked in the telephone exchange overlooking the line. A North West railrover meant an early start to get to Lancaster on the Skipton DMU up the WCML, perhaps the Cumbrian Coast to Carlisle and down the S&C and home, with plenty to see every day.
Even Steamtown was worth a look. How things have changed, and not for the better.

Hi Greg, amazing post. What a beautiful building, such a shame the railway is just an afterthought now.

Hi Greg, was this after February 1994, when the last train left, it really was a terrible mistake, leaving two lines and a level crossing would have been a better idea, still room for market and Morrisons, bet the council were bribed, allegedly! great to see what it was like. cheers.

@noelist Hi Leon do not now what year this was but trains were still running from the platforms a bit after this clip
