David Sengeh and David Hill from the MIT Media Lab came to teach and share at our first Learn 2 Teach, Teach 2 Learn Weekend Workshop on Saturday 4 December at the South End Technology Center @ Tent City. Learn2 Teach's Adrian, Xia, Lee, Ashley, Joshua, Shikari, Tiffany, Albertine, Ralik, Dylan attended.

The youth teachers each built microbial fuel cell batteries from pot soil and dirt from outside SETC. They used chicken mesh and nails as the cathode, and carbon cloth and copper plates for the anode. They used the multimeter to measure both current and voltage for each individual cell. Their average voltage was 0.5V and 1.4 mA.
