Dith Pran, the New York Times Cambodian photographer who survived The Killing Fields in his country after it fell to the Khmer Rouge, has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Pran talked about the illness when a group of friends, including reporter Sydney Schanberg, visited his hospital room. Video by Jane Schanberg.

  • @robertvideo I saw The Killing Fields last night with my girlfriend and said to Her it is a true story. I showed her the website then she was a believer.

    I just learned now and am very sorry to hear he passed away. I know it has been awhile but, I would have really liked to speak with Him, soul to soul..( anything you could share from Mr Pran? 8 RIP)
