Breackneck speed makes it easier for some, for others it doesn't. It's just a preference really

Its makes the chart more spaced between notes so you can see them clearer. Like when the notes in a guitar chart are all jumbled up toghether you cant tell much in harder faster parts so with break neck you seee them good.
