Shock G told how they wrote this song: "On “Same Song,” as I was finishing the beat at home, 2Pac and Money-B would call occasionally to hear it over the phone as they wrote and perfected their verses from their homes - I wrote mine immediately after I saved the pattern."
That's a quote from the superb book, "How -To- Rap" - he tells a lot of stories about making classics with Pac, and they also interviewed pretty much all the best rappers for it.
