From 5000 years ago to more than 2000 years ago, When chinese lived in yellow river and only know grow millet, Bai Yue in south know rice. It is fact.

Our ancetor know grow rice before chinese ancestor thousands of years.

2000 years ago, Han invaded Nan Yue(or Bai Yue in south),Han destroyed script of Yue people which is "KHoa dau" and after that forced Yue(Vietnamese) learn Han character.

after that Vietnamese created an other based on Han character is "Nom script"

And now we mix latin character with Khoa dau to become Vietnamese character.

About Lunar new year, in 2000 years ago, Bai Yue in south who civilization based on agriculture has festival, it is origin of Vietnamese new years. We have 4 seasons: spring,summer,autumn, winter. And Spring is always seasons start for new,for happy.

I think every ethnic has their festival as Miao,Yue(Vietnamese),Chinese,.­..

And actually. Luanar new years not only from Chinese,it is also part of agriculture civilization of Bai Yue people

- When Nguyen An was 16 years olds, he served for Chen dynasty. After that is Ho dynasty of Vietnam
