I sang with her years ago, and it was one of the most beautiful, lyric sopranos ever. She then began singing Anna Bolena and all the heavy bel canto repertoire, and she completely blew it. Flat, wobbly, no top, nothing. And to listen to her at the beginning -- her debut at La Fenice in Verdi's Il Corsaro -- it was truly mind blowing.

This is the perfection itself. What a pity that Katia ruined her voice so quickly. One of the most beautifull voices ever and a real knowledge of the belcanto style. Genuine!!!
